Agronomic Wheel at the Expo-Champs Site

St-Liboire, Quebec – Sevita International presents its soybean varieties in a unique way during the Expo-Champs event, on August 29, 30, and 31, 2023. The varieties are planted in a shape similar to the spokes of a wheel. This agronomic wheel is a tool that allows Sevita and growers to see how the varieties react according to several row spacings(from 45 inches to 1 inch). 18 varieties of soybeans are on display, 9 conventional IP and 9 with various trait packages.

“Each variety reacts differently to their growing environment, position the right variety in the right spacing, to get the most revenue per acre. Planting them in the shape of a wheel creates stress and allows us to determine what is the optimal spacing for each variety”, says Guillaume Doré agr.
